Aaron Custalow

Aaron joined Kingfisher in February 2026 as a Field Supervisor, spending his days out in the field at Kingfisher’s various properties, managing contractors, keeping schedules tight, and making sure quality standards are met across every project. A typical day involves rolling up to 3-4 properties in his super cool Toyota Prius, meeting with contractors, solving problems on the fly, inspecting completed work, and keeping everything tracked in Buildertrend.

His favorite part of the job? Creative problem solving and working with people (which, as it turns out, is basically the entire job description).

Before Kingfisher, Aaron spent 15 years in vocational Christian ministry and missions, a background that probably explains both his patience with contractors and his ability to stay calm when things go sideways on a job site.

Aaron lives in Richmond with his wife of 16 years and their five kids. Outside of work he’s all outdoors (soccer, hunting, fishing, camping, you name it).

What Aaron loves most about Kingfisher is that the team knows how to have a good time without taking themselves too seriously. They pursue excellence and still manage to enjoy the ride.

Two fun facts that absolutely nobody saw coming: Aaron is a drummer who used to tour with a metal band, then went on to play professionally with various worship artists and record on several albums. And he’s traveled to 12 countries. The Prius is somehow the least interesting thing about him.
